Trained at St Martin’s School of Art in London, as well as in the USA and at Studio Sem in Pietrasanta, Italy.
Virginia specialises in direct carving in wood and stone. This talent was recognised early when her first bronze was accepted by the Royal Academy for its Summer Exhibition.
A critic has described her work as having “a controlled classicism with a seeming simplicity that embodies female qualities of mystery, vulnerability and reserved sensuality.” Her work captivates through its refined use of line and form, inviting viewers to find their own interpretations.
Exhibited both nationally and internationally, Virginia continues to make a lasting impression in the world of sculpture.
